About Me
Welcome to my homepage! I am Xiaxue Ouyang, a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Statistics and Big Data, Renmin University of China. I began my doctoral studies in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Kejun He and Dr. Cheng Meng (BDAL). I received my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Wuhan University in 2023.
My research interests lie broadly in statistical machine learning, with a particular focus on optimal transport, feature screening, and subsampling methods.

I received the Travel Award at the inaugural “Mao Shisong Statistical Education Doctoral Forum”, organized by the Young Statisticians Association of the National Industrial Statistics Teaching and Research Association.

Survey Paper Published Online
Our survey paper Sparsification Techniques for Large-Scale Optimal Transport Problems has been published online in WIREs Computational Statistics. It was also featured by the well-known Chinese statistics platform Capital of Statistics .

Graduate Research Fund Project Approved
My project Adaptive Subsampling-Driven Efficient Feature Screening, Bio-Inspired Encoding Extensions, and Sparsified Representation Methods has been approved by the 2025 Graduate Research Fund of the Institute of Statistics and Big Data.
